Create a Maintenance Plan
There will always be jobs to do on your premises, from changing lightbulbs to updating electrical and power outlets. As the seasons change, you will also find that outdoor maintenance needs to be made a priority too. Ensuring that no maintenance work gets overlooked is important. To make this happen, you need a maintenance plan. A maintenance plan that covers everything from window cleaning to cleaning out drains and gutters will help you manage any premises.
Top Tip: Make sure a walkaround is carried out each month at the premises. This may involve checking that all staff areas are functioning correctly or even checking that visitors can enter and exit the premises in a safe manner. Know Your Space
To manage your space, it helps if you know the space inside out. Understand the size of the premises and locate the emergency exits (or fire doors). Even understand (and establish) where the power outlets are and where mains power is located. The more that you know about your space, the easier it will be to rectify problems and plan for maintenance works.
